QUALIFICATIONS

Studied film production and theory at Syracuse University as an undergraduate and have produced a body of work of 16mm films and digital videos. I have experience in both linear and nonlinear editing systems with a background in animation and documentary forms.

EMPLOYMENT

2003-2003 Art Editor, The Daily Orange Newspaper (Syracuse University)

I was assigned five editorial comics a week along with other illustrations for the paper. I expressed my opinions through the artwork I created and critiqued the issues presented in the news.

2003-2004 Art Director/AV Specialist, YMCA Camp Takodah

I organized and taught art classes, supervised other teachers, ordered supplies, and managed a budget. I gained responsibility for a specific program area of the camp and built on my teaching skills to children and my peers. My duties as Audio Visual Specialist involved documenting events with both video and digital photography. I was in charge of uploading my daily photos to the camp website and edited the camp video yearbook from the footage I shot.

2003-2004 Film Cager, Syracuse University Department of Art Media Studies

Checked out film/video equipment and facilities, fixed broken equipment, and helped students technically and conceptually in editing their projects.

2006-2006 Art Foundations Instructor, UMBC Visual Arts Department

Currently teaching an introductory course, Visual Concepts IV: Time-Based Media, to undergraduate art students. The course covers animation and digital video production, emphasizing experimental, narrative, and documentary approaches.
